How do I generate relevant keywords for each search engine?
If you are not sure or don't know what keywords you should bid for, then Keyword Builder is a powerful tool that allows you to easily retrieve all related and relevant keywords associated with the basic keyword you have chosen. It also shows you how many searches (or counts) each keyword has been part of - an important tool to help find out how important a keyword is.
To start Keyword Builder, click on the "Keywords" menu and choose "Keyword Builder" to open a window for the tool. Select a search engine from the list in the drop down box in the "Keyword Builder" window. Enter a keyword in the "Enter a Keyword" box, then click the "Get" button. Once all the keywords have been retrieved, click "OK" to close the "Retrieving data completed" message. If you'd like to remove any keywords from the list, click on them and then click on the Delete button.
How do I set individual properties for each keyword?
You can do so easily by following the steps below to set the maximum for each
single keyword.
First load up the autobid function by going to "Autobid", then the corresponding engine on the menu bar. This should load the autobid form up. Once this is up, simply click on the "Get Bid" on the top left hand corner to obtain all the current bidding information.
Then simply select one keyword by clicking on it, or select a group of keywords by holding down the shift key. After this, select the "Property" button on the Toolbar to set the individual keyword's property.
How does the keyword limit apply to each version of AdScientist?
The limit on the number of keywords for the program applies per engine, not overall. This means you can have 100 keywords for Overture, as well as another 100 keywords for Overture (UK) in the Standard Edition. This applies for all versions of AdScientist.
My software is constantly freezing. I have to shut it down and then open the program again for it to begin working, and even then, it sometimes will just work for a few hours before freezing up again. Why does this happen and what can I do to fix it?
This is most likely caused by your anti-virus software. Try turning off the firewall setting in your anti-virus software, and AdScientist should return to working fine without freezing up your computer. Contact technical support if this fails to resolve the issue.
